I felt inspired when I saw August rush.. This is just my little version of what she (kaki king) is playing. This version isn’t supposed to sound like what you hear in the film, since i didn’t use delay. I also learned this song very quickly. i jammed for about an hour before i came up with a version i liked. This is my own little version, so don’t expect it to sound perfect either. The tuning is open c so from low to high it’s c,g,c,e,g,c. leave some comments and tell me what you think.

Awesome, this guy did it a hell of alot better than Justin Bieber. Just shows how real talent isnt being recognized in this modern world, while people like Bieber get it handed to em for no reason at all.

Your guitar always needs to be in tune for it to sound good. But their are different “tunings” for guitar that can be higher or lower than standard tuning. For instance you can tune your guitar a half a step up (a half step is one fret) which would then make the notes of your strings F A# D# G# C f. Be sure not tune to high because the strings get tighter the higher they go and if they get to tight they’ll snap.

you can tune it anyway you want. most songs will say that it is in standard tuning (EADGBe) if not it will say something like drop D or something. you can tune it anyway you want. but dont put too much stress on the strings or you run the risk of them snapping. the tuning in this video is obviously not standard but more of a C. then he just messed around a little baring the frets.
good job, very good… the only thing you could work on is not being afraid to really slap the string instead of just love tapping them… really get loose and into it.
